Abstract

edit

This page describes the topical list-building as a service pilot project and the process for requesting collaboration.

Project description

edit

This topical list-building service is aimed at people who are coordinating groups to edit together on a specific topic. This includes organizers and editors of events, campaigns, and WikiProjects. The aim of the service is to address specific content knowledge gaps through collaborative research efforts.

How it works

edit
  • Volunteers may submit a topical list-building request at any time.
  • When submitting a request, volunteers are asked to respond to questions aimed at understanding the project, event, or campaign and content needs.
  • Submitted requests will be received by the Foundation.
  • The Foundation will review requests, develop a topical list, and share with volunteers.
  • The Foundation may also request additional information from volunteers to better understand their content needs. This will include a one-on-one virtual consultation.
  • Volunteers participating in the list-building service pilot are strongly encouraged to complete optional pre- and post-surveys. These surveys aim to understand motivations, predict obstacles, and capture relevant experiential data.

While it may not be necessary to respond to optional questions when submitting a request, the more information you can provide, the better we can tailor the service to your specific topical needs.
