Wikimedia Project Grants Showcase Round 1 - 2018

In the first ever Wikimedia Project Grants Showcase, we invited Grantees to share their projects with the community in a live-streamed virtual event on YouTube. Each Grantee was given the opportunity to describe project goals, and how they hope to change Wikimedia for the better. The Showcase was also a call for Wikimedians interested in open-source collaboration to assist these projects and ensure their success. You can view each presentation on Commons, or check out the playlist on YouTube!

We will be hosting two full days of training in the pre-conference days of Wikimedia Conference 2018. Participants who would like to join should express interest in the registration form when registering to the conference. We will be selecting participants based on our selection criteria, and creating the agenda collaboratively with participants. Follow the event page for updates!

In honor of Women’s history month, the Community Engagement team at the Wikimedia Foundation is excited to host a series of conversations about women in the Wikimedia movement, and what their experience is like contributing to our projects. The discussions will focus on women's experiences working in technical spaces, programs, and leadership within the movement.
