Kent Wiki Club is a Wikimedia student association at the Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia Kent Campus (IPGK Kent) supported by the Wikimedia Community User Group Malaysia (WCUGM).

Brief history

From July 2021 to September 2023, various important events have taken place. Linah Bagu, Head of the Kadazandusun Language Department, was appointed as a jury for WikiKata in July 2021. The Kadazandusun Language Wiktionary Workshop, the first Wikimedia event, was held at IPGK Kent in November 2022. In January 2023, students participated in the #100dayswiki competition and one student won first place. After that, WikiGap 2023, organized by the Embassy of Sweden in Kuala Lumpur, was held in March 2023. A student became a trainer at the NYAA Wikimania Workshop in Singapore in May 2023. In the same month, Linah Bagu was nominated by KKP Wikimedia Malaysia to attend the Stockholm Internet Forum, and the WikiBudaya project Intensity was carried out. In August 2023, a delegation attended Wikimania Singapore, and the club was inaugurated. At the end of the month, the delegation attended the opening of the Swedish Honorary Consulate in Kota Kinabalu. The 2023/2024 committee was appointed in September 2023.
