Wow. Thats alot of stories. Although most of these stories are acceptable, Some of them do have some issues:
No pictures. I know pictures are hard to come by, but many of these already had uploaded pictures just waiting to be used.
Source issues. Some sources had broken URLs (but that may be the external sites fualt, not yours). Some were not formated in their own source section. Also none contained related Wikinews links, however that is not a major concern, its just something nice to have.
Wikification/linking. The wiki links were lacking in most, if not all of your stories (some had them added by others later). Links to wikipedia are nice as they allow the reader to find out more about the subject.
Categories You need thoose top level categories too. If its in Category:China, it should be in Category:Asia as well etc, As someone reading portal:Asia would want to see chinese news. This applies to most categories (Sometimes it doesn't apply to Category:Science and technology if something is in category:Computing, or Apple and Economics. But most of the time this rule holds true)
Other then that, Excellent work. I award you 3 Jokers (possibly more depending on the dupe article, and if it counts or not.) Bawolff02:10, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My response: Consider that I've already published over one hundred articles to Wikinews. I always try to add images to every story, and most of them have at least a map - or some related image from the commons. However, I'm fully aware of the stringent copyright issues related to CC2.5, and a lot of the time its just not feasible to display stuff. Sources - I check and double-check all the sources. The sources were all fine when I published the stories. I was unaware that my Sources did not have a source section. Perhaps someone has edited? Can you point out which ones have missing sources, and I will fix. Wikipedia Links: Adding wiki-links is something I do seem to forget. Mainly because I wanna get started on a fresh story. Categories: Yes I was slack there. However, this is an issue that we, as a Wikinews community, need to seriously look at over time. There is no real concise space besides CGormans? category page to decide cats. Perhaps when I have a little more time I'll propose a dedicated Category page. Dupe: Yes, I was very disappointed to find that someone else had contributed another Eurovision story. I looked hard in the development and published sections for anything on it. Must have missed it. Bummer... Thanks for the support. I am going to win this thing! :) Cheers, elliot_k.
I might of been mistaken about the source section as I can't find it again. n:Professionals and students continue strike in New Delhi url for the first source was incorrect (went to a blank page) but is fixed now. For categories, its just mostly the top level regional categories I'm concerned about. (having category:China but not Category:Asia). These are just minnor complaints. You're doing a terrific job so far. Bawolff17:58, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
