How to maintenance in windows system??

My practical system is Windows2003 with Apache+PHP+mySql, If my wiki lacates in D:\wiki, and the web root folder is d:\wiki, how can I use this command to rebuild wiki? Now I am trying to translate every words in messages.php. I am really looking for it.

How to run with no shell access? (non WMF)

Well, probably not but worth a shot. I don't have shell access at my host ("due to previous abuse") where I host my private wiki, but I would like to run some of the scripts in the maintenance dir. I tried running it through phpshell (http://mgeisler.net/php-shell/) but the scripts recognise its called from a webbrowser. Anybody know any unsupported hack to still be able to run the very usefull maintenance scripts? --GrandiJoos 13:46, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

I had the same problem, everywhere I was told that this would not work. Then I found some answer from well-known Rob Church (http://mail.wikipedia.org/pipermail/mediawiki-l/2006-February/010220.html) who also said, it was possible with this phpShell. But I didn't get it run, so I just changed the php-code of the maintenance script. I only needed to run one, so it is not so much of work ... basicly you have to edit commandline.php ... work between 10 minutes and 1 hour :) --Matthiaskoehler 13:46, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I know that removing the checking code in the maintenance scripts will get it to work but I was looking for a neater way. On the mailinglist somebody did it through cronjobs, not ideal but it will work without changing the code. I'll try both ways... --GrandiJoos 16:45, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

It says it's doing it... but it doesn't

I have uploaded an AdminSettings.php page and run the deleteOldRevisions.php and rebuildall.php commands on the command line. The command line shows its work in progress and then says done... but all the old revisions are still there on all the history pages.

Am I misunderstanding the point of the script? How can I clear the history pages of tests I did during the set up? I want to do that before I go live. 89.241.224.144 17:24, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
