Explain your plan edit

Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you. I am a student from Ukraine, who was forced to leave the country because of the current situation with violation of human rights and a prolonged war. I work with very a old equipment, and I do not have money for a good laptop. I have difficulties with processing large amounts of information and downloading files (it takes ages to do smth for Wikidata). My main fields: geography and politics, history of Britain, history of Jews, patrolling, uploading files. I often participate in international projects, and represent there Ukrainian Wikipedia (for example, Central European Spring, Europeana, TED).

Endorsements edit

  1. Andrew J.Kurbiko is known as a great editor of Ukrainian Wikipedia. An old laptop would be a great investment in the project and this young student who has difficult times to meet his ends. --Taromsky (talk) 22:33, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
