Hello, Alexis. Thanks for this report, and your work on this event. It's nice to hear that the collaboration with Wikimedia New York City went so well. It's too bad that the number of participants was so much lower than you expected, perhaps due to the proximity to the election. That was an unusual circumstance you had no control over. Still, give the unusually high catering costs of the event (mandated by the event space), this is a real shame, since this works out to more than $40/per participant for catering costs! Naturally, the number of articles created or improved and number of new editors were lower due to having fewer participants. That makes sense.

It's great to learn that some of the attendees at the event were inspired to organize similar events with their institutions. It's helpful to know that having plenty of printed materials was useful. Can you tell us some more about why they were so useful and how they were used at the event? I know these weren't funded by the grant, but since we often fund costs of printing for grants like this, it's good for us to learn more about that. You've identified a big challenge, in terms of holding event that includes more experienced editors and newcomers and making sure newcomers have the information they need through an introductory talk or discussion.
