Hi Bile_rene, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant. We are glad to see that you plan to organize the Wiki Loves Earth contest in Cameroon! I have a few questions and comments after reviewing your grant request:

  • We now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages on the target wiki(s)? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
  • I have added a question to the proposal page about the COVID-19 Risk assessment. Please respond to question #6.
  • Approximately, how many participants do you expect to have during the session in Yaounde, Douala, Buea, and Maroua? Why have you chosen these locations?
  • Please note that grantees, judges, and other contest leaders are ineligible to receive prizes. Grantees who are serving as judges may not receive gifts through grant funding.
  • You mentioned that you’d like to organize four photowalks. Could you please specify the photowalk locations?
  • Do you have any official list of protected natural areas that you’ll be using for your campaign?

Budget:

  • Posters, flyers and conception - will this cover printing costs?
  • Award ceremony and exposition - what will this cost cover?
  • Awards for participants - please reduce this expense to 300 USD.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 11:03, 30 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

For each towns choosen, there is about 10 persons. There is the four town because we have ressource person at each town and we have contributors in each town.
For judges, it is gift to touch their motivation. This contributes to encourage them to give us more their expertise.
Photowalks will be done in each region of Cameroon, this is the reason why we divided the work by towns (04). This contribute to disallowed many travels of facilitators.
For official list of protected natural areas, we've completed on commons page of this WLE edition. the list
