Not funded
editHello Umar-askira, thank you for submitting your grant application for Wiki For Human Right Campaign In Kaduna. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of Wikimedia Movement in the most efficient and effective manner. After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request.
Here are the main reasons for my decision:
- We have already funded another grant proposal for the Hausa community that has similar goals and overlaps with this project in terms of the project dates. Even though I understand that this is a promotional campaign, its main topic and some of the activities overlaps with the #WikiForHumanRights campaign.
- I think that the proposal is incomplete. The connection between the main topic — Climate change — and Wikimedia activities is not clear. Some activities seem to be not related to Wikimedia projects.
- Thanks again for your work for the movement. Wishing you all the best.
