Grants talk:Project/Rapid/RachelWex/ALMS Wikipedia Promotion/Report
Accepted
editHi, RachelWex, thank you for submitting this detailed grant report. I’m sorry that due to the smaller number of conference participants, you were unable to reach some of your initial targets. However, it is great to hear that you had a successful presentation, promoting LGBTQ+ Wikimedia initiatives and expanding the number of potential partners from LGBTQ+ libraries, archives, and museums. Here are a few questions and comments:
- We’re excited that you have established new connections with Israeli archivists who would like to co-organize a "Write for the Rights" edit-a-thon in Israel and Palestine.
- How do you keep in touch and guide potential partners from other counties? What are your plans in engaging them in Wikimedia activities? Did you connect them to their local Wikimedia affiliates as in the case of the partners from Israel?
I keep in touch and guide potential international partners through email, FB, Twitter, and Zoom meetings. I am inviting them all to the upcoming Queering Wikipedia conference this way, and connecting them with their local Wikimedia affiliates if they express further interest in getting involved.
- Please note that according to the recent changes in the Rapid Grants Program, we no longer provide Rapid Grants for travel support.
Thanks DSaroyan (WMF) (talk). How do we apply for travel support in 2020 and beyond?
Thank you again for your promotional activities and for your efforts in increasing awareness of Wikimedia projects! I have accepted your final report and expense documentation. This grant is now complete. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 06:31, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
