Hi James Moore200, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant application. I reviewed it and have some questions for you to respond:

  • The Risk Assessment document you provided has been created by User:Wikimedia Nigeria for the Black Climate Rights editathon grant project. It is unacceptable to provide a Risk Assessment document that has been created for another event. Please create a new Risk Assessment form for your project and fill it out with your event information. Could you also explain in your response why you have linked a Risk Assessment document from another project instead of creating a new one?
  • Could you please confirm that your plan is to run 2 training sessions and 1 editathon after the training sessions?
  • Do you have an initial schedule for the training sessions? Could you please share it with us?

Budget:

  • Please clarify what the Rental and Branding costs will cover.
  • I think that there are too many prizes and appreciation tokens for the participants, that’s why please choose between Souvenirs for participants & facilitators and Shirts (10 T-Shirts for key facilitators and participants) expenses and remove one of them from your budget. You can still make T-shirts and souvenirs for three facilitators.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:20, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dearest DSaroyan (WMF),

Thank you for reviewing this proposal.

Below are the answers to the questions you asked and the clarifications you requested for:

  • Yes, we are running two training sessions and one Edit-a-thon as planned.
  • We are going to be having a training for new editors while the existing editors will be exposed to other Wikimedia Projects like Wikidata.
  • The schedule will be made available by team and I on meetup before the events hold.
  • Rental covers both the Camera and the project that will be used during the events while the Branding is for the production of e-fliers for online publicity.
  • The prizes are not too many and the Shirts are for top editors and Facilitors as earlier mentioned.

I have made the necessary changes as requested.

I hope my responses are suitable.

Thank you once again for your time.

Regards,

James Moore200 (talk) 13:25, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I will ensure this does not repeat itself.
