Hello Aristidek5maya thanks again for this grant proposal. It is greatly appreciated that you are planning to run an Art+Feminism event in Côte d’Ivoire. I reviewed the grant proposal and have the following comments:

  • Do you have a list of articles that you will edit during the editathons? How will you track participants’ contributions?
  • We now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages of the target wikis (French Wikipedia)? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
  • I don’t have access to the Risk Assessment Tool document you shared on the proposal. Could you make the link accessible to everyone?
  • Budget:
    • Project coordination costs - please make a more detailed breakdown.
    • Internet connection costs for the entire duration of the project (2 months). - why do you need internet for the whole duration of the project and not for the events only?

Hello DSaroyan (WMF),

Yes, I have a list of articles that we will be editing during the editathons; and participants' contributions will be tracked via a dashboard that I have already created for the project. I agree to announce the project on the relevant community pages of Wikipedia in French, but I admit that I do not know how to do it? Regarding the project coordination costs, the funds requested will be distributed as follows: 180,000 XOF for the Project manager (me) and 100,000 XOF for my project assistant. As I specified in the budget, these funds will be used not only to cover the travel expenses of my project assistant and me, as well as the material to be used for the realization of the project; but also to cover the costs of communication, printing, photocopies and scanning of documents for a better coordination of the project. Finally, for the internet connection, I need it for the 2 months, for better management of the project. Because knowing that the articles will be written by the participants, and that it will first be necessary to carry out research on the sources to be used for their writing (which cannot be done during editions because of the short time), it is important that I have a permanent connection throughout the duration of the project to communicate via internet with the participants in order to respond to their various concerns. Moreover, given the number that we are, if we opt for a daily connection (only for the days of editions) it will be insufficient for everyone, because limited. While the monthly connection is unlimited and therefore sufficient for all, and for the conversion of 3 editathons (2 in the 1st month and the 3rd in the 2nd month).--Aristidek5maya (talk) 21:14, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
