Hi Aliyu shaba, thanks for submitting this final report for your first Wikimedia Foundation grant. I have some questions and comments after reviewing your report:

• Congratulations on meeting and exceeding all initial targets. We are glad that you are satisfied with project outcomes.
• Thanks for using the hashtag tool to measure participation and contributions. In the final report you mentioned that you had 26 new participants. However, I couldn’t see all of them on the hashtag tool stats; there are only 9 users listed on the tool results. Could you please explain the reason for this discrepancy? Is it because of the network issue? If so, could you please specify what kind of issue it was and how you plan to address it in the future?
• Another concern that I have is on the contributions. You are the only person who made most of the edits as shown here and created all new articles. Your plan was to train new participants to edit Wikipedia articles. Instead, I can see that you were the only contributor during the project. This is a serious concern and I need more clarifications on your end. Why didn't other participants make any contributions? Why are you the only person who edited articles?
• I can see that there is an underspend of 82 USD (33,577 NGN). Please confirm that you still retain this amount. If possible, we will deduct it from a future grant amount. Otherwise, we will recommend further steps.

Hello DSaroyan (WMF)

In regards to the number of new participants, we register 26 new participants but unfortunately they couldn't make any edit during the edit-a-thon due to the reason which will be started below;

It is well known that there is no standard electricity in Nigeria, so as a result of that we use electricity generator to generate electricity to the whole building, to the computers and appliances, we started with electricity powered by generator, we elaborate every step to make reference, when we reach the time when every new editors will start making edits, then the generator collapsed due to mechanical problem, as a result of that, the computers and appliances get off, we do not have any option to access interne any more, from there we decided to stay in torch with them in WhatsApp group, it is through WhatsApp that I give them tutorials on how to make reference using their mobile phones which makes my edits so high, some of them couldnt do it due to difference of mobile view and desktop view which they have encounter and make it different for them to understand the interface, so at last they understand the process, some managed to do it, and didn't do it, we don't have any option since we are not in person with them.

I will like to retain the remaining funds for data subscription to stay in touch with new participants as I did stay with them up to now [[Aliyu shaba]]^Talk 07:19, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
