Hello Abubakar A Gwanki, thank you for submitting this Rapid Grant request. I reviewed it and have some questions that I'd like you to respond to:

  • We now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the Wikimedia community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages on the target wikis? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
  • The COVID-19 Risk Assessment document you shared is the original one. Please make a copy of it (File > Make a copy), complete it with your event information, and share the new link with us.
  • Which seven universities, colleges, and secondary schools do you plan to visit? Could you please name them? Additionally, are you in touch with any of them? Did they confirm their participation?
  • You mentioned that you would have 4 other team members. Could you please add their usernames to the grant application?
  • Do you or any other team members have any experience in running promotional campaigns?
  • In the detailed budget, “1. Training space” expense is for “space for the training venues and some laptops to be hired”. However, you also have “3. Laptop and Projector renting” expense to rent laptops for the event. It looks like you have two expenses for laptop rental. Could you please explain this discrepancy?

Looking forward to your responses. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:55, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello DSaroyan (WMF), thank you for reviewing my grant. I have answered all your questions here;
  • I have already announced
  • I have completed a copy of the Risk Assessment Tool
  • Among the universities we will plan to visit are BUK, Maitama Sule University, KUST Wadil, Sa'adatu Rimi College of Education, Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Rumfa College, Women Teachers College WTC Kano, GGC Dala Kano, Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies and other schools. There are friends of mine who are studying at some of the schools, and some of the students have attended the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in Kano Metropolis we held earlier.
  • I have already listed my team members.
  • I also attended Wikipedia Awareness in Kaduna 2019, and Hamza DK has extensive experience in the field of awareness especially led an awareness of Covid-19 in rural areas of Katsina State.
  • In expense of "1" is for Training space, i have correct it in a grant application. Both Laptop and Projector are in the expense of "3".

Thank you, Best Regards. -Abubakar A Gwanki (talk) 22:40, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
