Thank you for your application for a Movement Strategy Implementation grant. Your desire to support your community, and this application is a perfect example of a well-conceived and organised proposal that addresses a critical need within the movement.

Feedback for Improvement

Clarity is required regarding the number of people expected to be trained and impacted by the project. Will the 4-5 people be selected from the 1 participants expected? Are these people to be selected during or after the project? Additionally, while having a team of experts is encouraging, it is difficult to understand the value add of a team that is twice the size of the number of people expected to benefit from the project.

Hello @YPam (WMF), thank you for such elaborate feedback on the project proposal!

Sharing below clarity regarding the number of people expected to be trained and impacted by the project: minimum number of people to be trained: 5, total number of people engaged: 15. The table has been expanded and updated to clarify the number of participants, the nature of their participation, and other related details. The Project Background and Project Activities section have also been updated for further clarification.

The other five individuals mentioned in the new, second table as volunteers are actually potential participants in the upcoming training and workshops. They are from these four languages: Odia, Braj, Ahirwati, and Gojri language, and they are potential participants in the project. Three of them, Pramod, Priyanka and Sangram, were also engaged in the last project and attended the in-person Oral Culture and Language Documentation Workshops. So, the idea is to continue with the momentum and build upon it. They have also joined as participants in the yet to be recognized Indic Oral Culture User Group. The latter three languages do not have an existing Wikimedia community or separate subdomains like a Wikipedia or a Wikisource in their language, and they have been engaged to understand the interests and needs of these underrepresented languages but also to ensure that a minimum core group of oral culture practitioners is developed out of this project.

In addition to them, there will be an open call for more participants for the project, so that more interested participants can also be engaged to participate in the project. Thank you, Amrit Sufi (talk)
