If possible, please keep your input concise. We'd particularly like feedback on the following questions:

  1. From what perspective or in what role are you providing your input? (For example: a Wikipedia editor, a representative of a Wikimedia chapter, a member of a regional committee)
  2. In what ways do you think this research can support members of the Wikimedia communities in their work on Wikimedia projects?
  3. Is there a particular project or affiliate in your country/region/project that can benefit from the result of this research and/or you recommend that the applicants seek to coordinate or collaborate with? If so, please provide details including the name of the project or affiliate and a short description of the relevance of the proposal to the needs of the affiliate or project.
  4. Do you have any other comments or feedback you would like to share with the Research Fund chairs?

Endorsement edit

I am a Wikipedia editor from a minority community and a member of Wikimedia NYC. My feedback comes from a specific perspective rooted in the experiences of a minority contributor.

I must commend the applicant on the clarity of their objectives and the thoughtful approach they have taken toward addressing knowledge equity within the Wikimedia movement strategy. The project's importance is well-articulated, resonating with the challenges faced by minority communities. The methodology reflects a comprehensive strategy, acknowledging the importance of gathering insights from both academic literature and community voices--this approach is crucial in ensuring a well-rounded understanding of knowledge equity. The applicant's emphasis on the value of insights gained through multiple perspectives, such as the "epistemic-agency view" and the "intercultural view of knowledge equity," can enhance the significance of the findings, providing nuanced insights that resonate with diverse Wikimedia contributors. The expected outputs--an open-access scholarly paper and a publication for laypersons--demonstrate the applicant's commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. If successful, this project will allow for clear communication around a key subject in the community.Doctorxgc (talk) 01:28, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
