Hello James Moore200, thanks again for submitting this grant request and for all your efforts to run the WikiForHumanRights campaign in Nigeria. We have reviewed the request with the engagement of the Wikimedia Nigeria User Group in the process. We made a decision to partially fund the request in the amount of 1,978,959 NGN (4,300 USD) with the following requests:

• Wikimedia Nigeria User Group will be the fiscal sponsor for this grant request. They will receive the funding and distribute it. Any bank fees will be covered by the User Group's annual plan.
  • Each participating community will receive an equivalent of 230,112 NGN (500 USD) directly from the Wikimedia Nigeria UG. Funds will be shared evenly.
  • You and the core organizing team will receive the rest 828,400 NGN (1,800 USD) from Wikimedia Nigeria UG to coordinate the campaign and organize the online activities.
• You and the core organizing team can run the campaign and activities independently.
• We made a decision to partially fund the request given some adjustments to the budget.
  • Removing 4th and 5th positions for prizes (30,000 NGN). Removing all prizes for local events run by mentioned communities.
  • Reducing support to jury members to 15,000 NGN each.
  • Reducing the amount allocated to each community to 230,112 NGN given that there are some overlapping expenses between the general and local events.
• The report will be submitted to Wikimedia Foundation based on the Rapid Fund reporting requirements. All participating communities will send the financial and any narrative reports to you and the core organizing team. You will be responsible to submit the final Rapid Fund report to Wikimedia Foundation. If Wikimedia Nigeria UG requests, you will also need to submit a financial report and/or any additional financial information to them.
• Grant start and end dates are updated based on the round 8 dates to allow some time for grant processing and payment. Apologies again for the huge delay and lots of back and forth through emails.
