Grants talk:Programs/Wikimedia Community Fund/Rapid Fund/Presenting at WOW 2022, University of Sydney (ID: 21953139)

Support edit

I strongly support this application to fund the attendence of User:Pakoire and User:Kowhaiarewhana to this conference as it is important for the Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand group as it demonstrates the work that is happening in New Zealand to increase diversity within the Wikipedia editing community. Both Australia and New Zealand affiliates are interested in encouraging particiation by Pasifika peoples. Attending in person and presenting at this event will be more impactful for attendees than User:Pakoire and User:Kowhaiarewhana presenting via video conference as it will allow further discussion and learning on how to best attract Pacifika peoples into Wikimedia Foundation project editing and participation.
