Not funded edit

Hello Bhaffa, thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. After reviewing your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

  • Lack of capacity: The applicant or the team did not show sufficient capacity on and off Wikimedia projects to run the project.
  • Project scope: While the project idea is interesting, it is too general and does not demonstrate exactly how it will be implemented on Wikimedia projects. It seems that there is a lack of understanding about Wikimedia projects in general and how they work.
  • Lack of coordination with Wikimedia communities: As required in question 11, all relevant Wikimedia communities should be contacted and informed in advance. Any initial partnerships with Wikimedia groups, communities, or organizations should be established before submitting a grant request.
  • Budget alignment: The proposed budget does not align with the described activities and overall project impact. The application needs to have a reasonable budget that is aligned with the context.
