Grants talk:PEG/WM SE/Annual Program Plan 2012/Report/Q3

Thank you for the report: it is accepted. Would you mind telling us a little bit more about the program to identify deficient and missing content? This sounds like interesting work. For example, you mention you have signed a contract with a university in Germany where a student will do research on statistics over several Wikipedia language versions. Would you please tell us a little more about what exactly the student will do? Thank you! Wolliff (talk) 02:37, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

She is working 50% for 5 months within the EU-project SOCIONICAL, and we are supporting the project with about SEK 11,000. A detailed working plan can be found here. While the first idea of the whole project was more survey-like, the approach now is purely based on access statistics, and here the main challenge is the identification of the Swedish readers on the English Wikipedia. The linked plan is not 100% up-to-date anymore as, if time permits until the project end in February, we are also trying to match the results with some quality measures referenced here (refs. [39, 105, 61, 88, 43, 51, 41, 106]). --Prolineserver (talk) 06:02, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
