Additional comments from the Committee: Appreciate the involvement of women from Venezuela and focus on diversity. Like the idea of building community in Venezuela through an individual who seems well-connected, but the database idea is not clear. Recommend starting with more proven models of content creation, such as building a list of content gaps and then working to create articles that address those gaps. This idea has potential, but the proposal is under-developed. Potential offline community at the university and promising partnership with the Center of Women Studies, but no engagement from the Wikimedia community. The measures of success are generally the right idea, but they need to be more specific about the number of people they hope to engage and amount of content to be created. Overall, given the reasonable budget, capable grantee, and possibility of building Wikipedia presence in a geographic region not normally targeted by grants make it worth funding.
