Clarification of the main activity for this project

edit

Hi! I'm not sure I understand this idea yet. Are you saying you'll look at people in India who are already editing Wikivoyage (if so, how will you identify them, I wonder?), and find a subset of those who are doing the best job at contributing, and then offer them some further training in order to encourage them to keep creating even better content? And if this is the case, what sort of training would you offer? (in person workshops? help tutorials or videos?). Curious to hear more about this idea. Thanks! Given that you have said this will cost 0rupees - what is stopping you from undertaking this right away? I think the identification of "good editors" on one wiki and then encouraging them to come over to Wikivoyage to help is a fine idea. I don't think it needs any particular infrastructure or rules associated with it, just some nice messages on talkpages! :-) Wittylama (talk) 01:48, 8 February 2013 (UTC)\Reply

Report

edit

Hi, Are you interested in providing us a report of this project after its conclusion? Sharing the report would help us to learn from your feedback and enable us to conduct better outreach sessions in future. I wish you start the project right away, as Wittylama said --Netha Hussain (talk) 10:49, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ineligible for IEG

edit

Until we hear back from the proposers, I'm marking this idea ineligible. As Liam has pointed out, it seems that funding is not what is needed to complete this project. If you something changes with this project plan and you would like to be considered for a grant in future rounds, please just make any necessary changes to your plan and then update the wikimarkup from status=INELIGIBLE to status=PROPOSED.
