@Jtud (WMF): This list is missing a significant number of Arabic-speaking MENA countries that, as a local Wikimedian, I know to regularly receive official grants. Examples would include, but are not limited to: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Tunisia. Is there a clear reason for this? As far as I understand, this page is supposed to be comprehensive list based on the entire WMF's funding experience --Abbad (talk) 00:04, 10 December 2020 (UTC).

The list is for "Countries that we have funded with few or no challenges for grantees to receive grants, and for us as a non-profit organization based in the United States to award international grants." Local regulations are constantly changing in some countries/regions. There are also US regulations that we must comply with around international grant making. So it is best for funding requesters (especially new requesters) to reach out to grantsadmin
