Thank you for sharing this report, colleagues! Thanks for providing details about your new Community Coordinator’s work so far; we find this work area very interesting. Your work on mapping your current volunteers in order to better understand how to better engage them is also interesting. We hope you will share your learning around this work with the broader community by sharing some learning patterns. Congratulations on your success so far in re-engaging four volunteers.

We appreciated reading about your learning that one-time editing workshops have not been effective. We look forward to learning how you strategize to make these more effective, or to learn how you are investing your resources in other activities. We also enjoyed reading about r process for following up with participants after the workshops, including your case studies.

Your work in GLAM partnerships continues to be an exciting area: while the number of contributions to date may be small, it appears you are targeting specific content gaps with your partners and that you are helping to release images that are rated as high-quality by the community and that are useful in Hebrew Wikipedia. This could be a powerful way to have impact, so we’ll hope to hear more in the future. We found your solution for digitizing some of the content through securing a donor an encouraging one, as we have seen this become a bottleneck to significant content donations in the past. You might consider sharing that strategy with the broader community through a learning pattern. We found it interesting to learn that the Wiki Loves Earth idea did not seem to meet with a lot of enthusiasm in your context, where there is more interest from partners around Monuments.

While we note that your work to build a community of volunteer developers working on issues that will specifically improve Hebrew Wikipedia has been more challenging than you expected, we look forward to learning about how you move forward with this project.

Thanks again for this detailed and insightful report! KLove (WMF) (talk) 23:06, 26 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
