The project proposal aims to raise awareness about Wikimedia, with a specific focus on Hausa Wikipedia, in Damaturu, Yobe State. The project will involve organizing workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to introduce residents of Damaturu to the concept of Wikimedia and the importance of contributing to and editing Hausa Wikipedia. The project will also involve encouraging and supporting participants to actively contribute to the Hausa Wikipedia by creating and editing articles in Hausa language. Overall, the project seeks to promote the use of Wikimedia platforms, particularly Hausa Wikipedia, and increase the participation of individuals from Damaturu in the global knowledge sharing community.

I'm going to organise one day of Awareness Trip within Damaturu City and two days of physical training

I have shared in Hausa Wikipedia Discussion page and also I will share in every Wikimedia Community WhatsApp Group I belong

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

During trip, I will invite interested participants to the event and some participants are my former classmates, I will let them know via our WhatsApp Group.

I Murja Khalid, I'm student of Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri, I born and raised in Damaturu Yobe State. I will lead the event with the facilitate of User:Muhammad sa'idu A as a facilitator for awareness trip and physical training. User:Mr. Snatch will be project's adviser. He will help us with event organising skills.
