Azare is the second largest city in Bauchi State, following Bauchi, the state capital. There has never been a Wikimedia project in Azare or its nearby areas. I plan to organize a two-days awareness event about Wikipedia in Azare. During this event, we will visit various locations in the city and distribute flyers to inform people about Wikipedia ant it's sister projects.Additionally, we will hold a two-day training session to teach participants all aspects of Wikipedia editing and contributions.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

It's a two days of awareness trips and two days of training. During this trips we will tour schools, like Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare, College of Education Azare and National Open University of Nigeria, Azare. We will take pictures of different places of the Azare town to upload to Wikimedia Commons during the trips. We will also tour secondary schools. We will organise two days physical training at two different schools, Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare and College of Education Azare. During this physical trainings we will train 20 participants in each school.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

The Participants are all new editors this means they don't have any skills about Wikipedia but they have skills in writing because I intend to train students and lecturers mainly from Hausa Department. They also have Smartphones and Internet skills.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

I will continue engaging the participants through the project's WhatsApp.

I User:M Bash Ne, I'm the project lead, User:Sirjat will be the project Facilitator, and two of my friends who they are the students of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, they will help us during the awareness trip and engaging participants before the event.
