Project summary

edit

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

This project aims to enhance the capabilities of Kano Wikimedians by providing training on Wikidata and enabling them to create and improve Wikidata Items related to Kano State. While Kano Wikimedians possess significant experience in Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, their exposure to Wikidata is relatively limited. This project will conduct workshops to educate Kano Wikimedians on the fundamentals of Wikidata, including data structure, item creation, and item improvement techniques. By focusing on creating and improving Wikidata Items about places, buildings, police stations, and government ministries, this project will contribute to a comprehensive and interconnected knowledge base.
