On the first day there was pre conference only for the Creative Commons affiliate members. Affiliates form about 80 countries attended this year. I had discussions with many of them and from the CC staff i can mention the names of Ryan Merkley, CEO, Cable Green, Director of Global Learning, Paul Stacey, Associate Director of Global Learning, Rob Myers, Software Developer, Alex Gakuru, Regional Coordinator – Africa, SooHyun Pae, Regional Coordinator – Asia-Pacific, Tobias Schonwetter, Regional Coordinator – Africa. I had a long discussion with Rob Myers about the upcoming and ongoing tech projects.
Outcome edit
I wrote a blog post about the event which was published on the en:Prothom Alo, a newspaper who have the largest circulation within the country as well as the online version. The links are the following. Along with this i arranged a small meetup with the volunteers who are located at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
