Welcome back from Wikimania 2017!
- Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?
A lot of experiences: Meet the community of Spanish Wikipedia that I hadn't met yet and learn about their local communities and projects. The discussiones about Wikimedia 2030 were specially rewarding because the south global groups, like Wiki Indaba, Iberocoop and Wikiarabia have a new leadership in the movement which makes it more inclusive and multicultural.
Some keynotes were very interesting, but probably two were very impact to me, the interview of Alexandra Elbakyan and the inspiring talk of Esra'a Al-Shafei.
On this Wikimania, that was my second, I present a talk, How does common knowledge sound?, where I speak about my experience and my principles for uploading sounds and the remix culture that sustain this practice. It was a very rich experience, because it was my first time presenting a lecture in english (my mother language is Spanish), and also because the people who listen to me gave me very useful feedback, also after the presentation.
In my personal blog I write some details about my experience on Wikimania 2017.
I could meet the Iberocoop people specially, and we had a very useful meeting. Also I could chat with wikimedians from all over the World, and I think we created a very strong connection, and we still in touch in social media.
I took some pictures that I need to categorize better, but there are all in the [[Category:Wikimania 2017 by Luisalvaz]].
