New Creation

At Wikimania Esino Lario I volunteered as chair photographer, so I spent most of the time taking photos. With help from Giulaicami, Unicornaaaaaaa and Yiyi I was able to upload them on Wikimedia Commons in nearly real time, so that they could be used by the press office. They are 442 and they can be found here.
I am especially proud of the fact that Jimmy Wales used two of my photos for his opening speech: this one of Iolanda Pensa (here), and another one taken the previous day I cannot find right now.
I am also proud of the fact that I was given the responsability of staging and taking the group photo: it was used on Wikipedia official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages and on many other places.

Connections

I had the occasion of talking with Geoff and Juliet about this story that involved me (a post will probably be published on Wikimedia Blog in the near future). I also met a journalist from Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano and she published an article about the story.
Wikimania was also obviously a chance for meeting old and new friends, especially from the Italian Wikimedia community and from the volunteer team, but they are too many to be listed.

Anything else

While I was there I really drank too much coffee, and I had a new photo of Jimmy Wales and me taken. :)
