Welcome back from Wikimania 2019!

Participant edit

Outcome edit

Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?
  • I was co-presenter of the presentation on the topic: “How to build regional partnerships between free knowledge organizations”, where I explain how CEE Region starts journey of organizing joint contests (like CEE Spring), joint newsletters (as CEE Newsletter), and regional conferences (starting from 2012). (Partnerships space, Day 2) (Presentation])
  • Apart of this presentation, I`m planning to begin Open Data Partnerships with our Museum of Modern Arts, after attending session about Open Data Partnerships on first day. News about this will be present here in upcoming period. (I hope it will be good news)
  • Also, I sign-up myself to comment ideas/presentations about upcoming design process of desktop version of Wikipedia. (Discusssion Page)

Connections edit

  • As Macedonian Wikipedia lack any people with tech-knowledge, I attend session and afterwards talk with Birgit Müller & the Small Wiki Toolkits crew in order to start something in our community. Still is not defined, but it was very cool that I have chance to talk with them and exchange our contacts, so I believe next year, we will have some results.(Discussion Page)

Anything else edit

  • I was organizer of WikiGap event in Skopje in 2018, and therefore I receive official invitation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden for reception of all volunteers connected with WikiGap initiative of Swedish Government. As Swedish Embassy in Skopje have overload of work in first half of the year, we schedule meeting after Wikimania 2019 to prepare second edition of WikiGap event in Skopje in 2019. Last year, we had around 50 participants and more than 100 article for women, which were significant in Macedonian history, but they don`t have any article on Wikipedia at all.

And on 16th of October 2019, we successfully organized second edition of WikiGap in Skopje. Images available on Commons (WikiGap Skopje 2019).
