Outcome

Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?

At the conference, I was able to work with technical staff and volunteer developers to provide information on requirements for the development of new admin+ tools. This feedback and collaborative process resulted in improvements including phabricator:T139810, and further subsequent work.

Connections

I was able to meet with many people involved in global work on Wikimedia, and we were able to share best practices and plan new ways of collaborating in the area. Particularly notable were meetings I had with trustees, other stewards, and technically-minded community members and staff. These conversations largely surrounded governance and technical needs at the global level. The network that I established in part through Wikimania has been critical to addressing some long-standing issues, many of which have been resolved years later.
