Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- Well, talking about the whole competition period, almost everything’s work well as per we planned.
- More than 3+ photo events were organized including photo-walks and photo-edit-a-thon inside Kathmandu and Lalitpur
- Huge numbers of participation and contributions were achieved.
- 2 images got Valued image flag and 20 images got Quality image flag.
- What did not work so well?
- Due to delay in grant issues we were tend to postpone photo-walks and other events.
- Able to organize Only one photo-walk.
- Only less number of qualitative contents were been updated by contributors.
- What would you do differently next time?
- Well, we’re still not able to cover all photographs of protected areas and places in remote parts of the country. We executed some of our techniques to re-cover previous circumstances this time and it somehow worked. We'll boost the techniques and revise if necessary.

Anything else
editAnything else you want to share about your project? How did we let people know about the contest?
- First of all, as per we promised in proposal, we avoid the use of paper promotion with the ultimate tagline of
1 ream of paper = 6% of a tree and 5.4kg CO2 in the atmosphere, 3 sheets of A4 Paper = 1 liter of water
To acquire couple of thousands pictures we can’t sacrifice hundreds of trees to waste. So, we started a new innovative phase to achieve our goals like .
- Rigorous Emailing
- Social Media
- Tell- A friend
- Central Notice across Wikimedia projects; to be directed to our site e.t.c
