WCUBWA Edit-a-thon 2018

Goals

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? No.

Outcome

Please report on your original project targets.

Target outcome	Achieved outcome	Explanation
Recruit new editors	Not so many editors were recruited as expected.	Even if we did not achieve most of our goals, we had some new bies involved in our projects.
Increase skills for existing editors	This objective was achieved, we had skills of existing editors improved.	We learned how to insert templates info boxes in to some of the articles that did not have them, inserting some citation tags were there ware no in text references.
Increase members of Wikimedia User Group Botswana	The number of our group members has been increased, which shows growth in our group activities.
Create awareness about Wikimedia projects.	Goal met.	New members to the group now know about Wikipedia, how to upload and use an image file in to existing articles or start a new article related to the media file being uploaded.

• What worked well?

The learning structure was quite impressive, people loved it and we look forward to hosting more edit a thorns to improve more work.

• What did not work so well?

We estimated to have 4 events but we run short of funds.

• What would you do differently next time?

We will try and work out on our estimates so that we do not run short of funds.
