Grants:Project/Rapid/UNLOCK 2022/Report
Accepted
Please review the notes below before submitting your report.
Your draft implementation plan document should address the following questions clearly:
- What movement strategy initiative or goal are you addressing?
- What activities will you be doing to address that initiative?
- What do you expect will happen as a result of your activities? How do those outcomes address the movement strategy initiative?
- How will you measure or evaluate your activities? What tools or methods will you use to evaluate your activities?
To create a draft implementation plan, we recommend the use of a logic model, which will help you and your team think about goals, activities, outcomes, and other factors in an organized way. Please refer the following resources to develop a logic model:
- Overview of logic models on Meta-wiki
- Example logic models for reference for other movement activities (such as partnerships and edit-a-thons)
- Blank logic model template on Google Drive

What activities have you completed to produce this draft plan?
Wikimedia Serbia (WMRS) and Wikimedia Deutschland (WMDE) had initiated the cross-affiliate collaboration to jointly implement UNLOCK 2022. Plus, we teamed up with Impact Hub Belgrade – an organization active in the field of innovation and social entrepreneurship. All partners involved co-created the implementation plan.
In which community channels have you announced your draft plan?
The draft plan itself has not been communicated. However, WMRS and WMDE have been communicating about our activities around UNLOCK 2022 in diverse community channels within and beyond the movement respectively. During the program, activities have been communicated via mailing lists (Wikimedia-l, CEE), WMRS and WMDE internal channels (website, mailing lists, social media, Discord, newsletters), diff blog, MSG Forum, CEE-related Facebook and Telegram groups:
- Outreach: Call for applications
- Selection: Selected projects and insights into the selection process
- Running UNLOCK: Mid-term presentations of the project teams
- Running UNLOCK: Demo Day 2022
- Collaboration: Lessons learned from the collaboration
In addition to the written part, we also shared our experiences and insights through other formats within the Movement, e.g.
- Wikimove Podcast: UNLOCKing innovation
- Presentation at WikiLive 2022: Event page, Presentation
- Presentation at Wikimania 2022: Slides, Video
- Presentation at CEE Meeting 2022: Slides
WMRS and WMDE have also focused on communicating outside the Movement with the intention of raising awareness not only for UNLOCK but also for the Wikimedia movement in general.
