We intended to maximize the effect of its publication by both handing over the book to public libraries and meeting with the council's political representatives so that they get first-hand notice of both the collaboration with Wikipedia and the added value for the city of preserving this community asset depicted in the book.
Use of QR codes to bridge the physical and the virtual world represented by QRpedia. QR codes created for each of the 40 kind of trees in the park The reader is informed on the possibility to use this technology available on the spot by means of panels attached to the trees.

Learning edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well? We published a nice book. Collaboration and dissemination were also successful.
  • What did not work so well? We wanted to consider alternative and possible cheaper ways to print the wikibook. But we can not publish the book in the Basque Country, because can not get the full version of the pdf file created by Pediapress, and the public pdf version is not so good to be published. We are waiting for better public versions.
  • What would you do differently next time? We met all our goals.
