Kami ingin melakukan kegiatan kampanye yang berkaitan dengan pengenalan dan peningkatan kesadaran Gerakan Wikimedia. Secara khusus kampanye ini akan menarik perhatian masyarakat luas tentang kegiatan kesukarelaan yang dilakukan oleh Komunitas Wikimedia Yogyakarta dan Wikipedia Jawa.

- Where will your project activities be happening?
- Kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan menggunakan beberapa platform media sosial yang dimiliki oleh Wikipedia Jawa seperti Instagram, Facebook, dan Twitter. Beberapa kegiatan lain juga dilaksnankan secara daring menggunakan sarana Google Meet ataupun Zoom.

- Komunitas Wikipedia Jawa dan Wikimedia Yogyakarta merupakan perkumpulan sukarelawan/kontributor proyek-proyek Wiki yang berafiliasi dan berada di bawah naungan Wikimedia Indonesia. Sehingga mayoritas kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Wikipedia Jawa dan Wikimedia Yogyakarta memperoleh bantuan dan dukungan dari Wikimedia Indonesia.[1]

- Tantangan yang kami hadapi saat ini adalah bagaimana membuat komunitas Wikimedia Yogyakarta dan Wikipedia Jawa dapat lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Hingga saat ini, mayoritas kegiatan kampanye tentang Gerakan Wikimedia yang dilakukan oleh Komunitas Yogyakarta masih terbatas pada kegiatan luring ke berbagai daerah di Pulau Jawa. Kegiatan kampanye yang dilakukan pun biasanya dengan mengadakan pelatihan kepenulisan yang bekerja sama dengan suatu lembaga atau instansi, sehingga jangkauannya masih terbilang cukup kecil dan terbatas.
- Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, saat ini masyarakat lebih mudah mengakses informasi melalui media sosial. Berkaitan dengan kegiatan kampanye Gerakan Wikimedia, hal ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana untuk memperluas jangkauan dan juga menarik minat masyarakat untuk bergabung serta berkontribusi dalam berbagai kegiatan Gerakan Wikimedia.
