Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Yes, i did and happy about the project.

It was a wonderful experience working on this project, and sincerely, this is one of the projects I can devote my time to because of the things I got to discover. The trip to the various south south regions of Nigeria was successful but wasn't easy especially visiting the remote communities where most of the foods we went to look for were still eaten. Most of those communities lacked many things that we needed like electricity, internet, good water and lots more but we had to find our ways around it. Some of the foods we were to document had already gone extinct and we had to go in the bushes to find them with a guide. The overall experience was something to remember.

Learning

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

• What worked well?
  • Finding most of the foods worked well, especially the ones that are still being eaten by the minority. All we needed to do was ask the community chiefs about the best places to find where their people still make them, and they pointed us to the right direction.
  • The trip was safe even though it was pretty expensive due to hike in prices caused by the situation of the country. We were welcomed in most of the communities we visited
  • Most of the people we told about the project were willing to help, especially seeing it was a Wikipedia project.
  • We were able to have backup for our cameras, lights and laptops where we had no access to power supply.
  • There was lot of challenge uploading the videos to wiki commons through video2commons and that stalled my reports a whole lot

• What did not work so well?
  • Some of the foods had special seasons when they are available and because at the time of this project, the season had not reached we could not document them.
  • Some of the community members asked for mobilization before they can take us to certain places where most of the food and vegetables are but due to limited funds, we could not get some of them to participate.
  • The time for the project was also not enough, it takes time to get the communities, do the research, search for the foods, convince

people to make the food. In most cases our team had to make the food themselves with the direction of the communities.

• What would you do differently next time?
  • I would use more time as most of the foods are seasonal, i would go to the different communities at the time when the season for the food is ripe.
  • I will go with a small generator set so i don't have trouble with power since we couldn't upload most content on time because of power outage. Alternatively, i will go with a Solar battery for the interior parts of the communities.
  • I will go with more team members especially those who know the terrain very well, this will give us access to more opportunities to explore deeper.
