Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- Spreading out ourselves into different areas made it possible to cover more on each photowalk day
- Wearing a branded Commons Tshirt made it possible to be identified as taking the pictures for non profit.
- What did not work so well?
- 2 of our photowalks was on a rainy day which made it difficult to take more pictures on such day.
- Assault by some persons wanting tips(money) for us to take photos and resulting in theft of 2 photo camera.
- Not having an ID card made it difficult to take some photos of public sculptures in some areas.
- What would you do differently next time?
- I will encourage my team to check weather forecast before embarking on a photowalk.
- I will make sure we go in groups of 2 to some areas where we anticipate attack by the public.
- I will make an ID card available for photographers when going on a photowalk to serve as means of identification.
