Learning edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
    • the idea of introducing incentives for every in-person working session worked so well
    • the training sessions went well
    • New editors were showing so much interest
    • The advertising went so well
  • What did not work so well?
    • The online follow up sessions. only a few attended them
    • Due to inflation we experienced serious price hikes more especially on transport and food which affected our budget forcing us to prioritise and cut some of the things from the budget to enable the challenge to go on
    • We had challenges of obtaining the lab cause our dates clashed with the University' exam timetable
  • What would you do differently next time?
    • I will introduce different incentives that will attract participants to attend each and every session apart from the winner's award
    • Choose a different time frame
    • I will submit my grant proposal on time to avoid starting the project late which results in it finishing late.
