Happy with the results of the project despite the fact that the context was a bit difficult in view of the resurgence of the Covid contamination in the city. The objectives were reached at 90%.

Learning edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

The flow of the whole activity (before for the preparation and some online sessions to call the community to participate, and after for two face-to-face sessions to follow up on the new contributions) was very good. We had presentations: from a female specialist in the history of women's art, another presentation from a feminist, a women's rights advocate and lastly a presentation from a female art critic.

  • What did not work so well?

According to the need of the activity, we expected to reach a high number of female participation, something that posed us many difficulties on the organizational and communication level. The female participation was fair, but not as expected, the reasons of women are diverse given their role in African society.

  • What would you do differently next time?

On the whole everything was well done. For the women's participation we have to invest a lot and plan the activities according to the schedule of most of the participants. Also the effect of postponing the activities (initially planned for March, for administrative reasons on the side of WMF and the resurgence of Covid-19) if it can also be improved, especially the administrative steps, sometimes it takes too much time and complicates significantly our agenda.

Finances edit

Grant funds spent edit

Please describe how much grant money you spent for approved expenses, and tell us what you spent it on.

Due to the resurgence of Covid-19 in the city, we were forced to cancel some actions that were already underway (such as the cost of communication, internet that was already paid for by the Art+Feminism grant). Therefore, the expenses were taken back for a second time, and we paid for the protection materials against Covid-19.

  • Communications (june & august) : $50 * 2 = $100
  • Internet (august) : $125
  • Materials (pen, note book, etc.) : $50
  • Materials Covid-19 : $50
  • Venue (local) : $250
  • Food (25 participants) : $500
  • Transports (25 participants) : $250
  • T-shirt : $195
  • Charges bank : $45
  • Booklets : $3,3 * 30 pces = ~ $100
  • PC rental for 8 participants : $20 * 8 * 2 days = $320

Total : $1985

Remaining funds edit

Do you have any remaining grant funds?

No

Please note with me on the bank statement that in the amount sent and the amount received, there is a slight difference of about $ 15, I do not know why, and this I have just noticed even on the previously funded grant.
