The conference was successfully implemented. The audience consisted of 27 people. The main idea of the conference was achieved: the participants got to know each other in real life, major goals of the conference were drafted and included in the plan. The participants were motivated to contribute more not only to Wikipedia, but also to other Wikimedia projects. The venue was suitable for everyone. Newcomers were interested in an active participation. The next conference was agreed to be held in Almaty - the biggest city in the country. The exact date and other details of it will be shown in a new grant proposal.

Part 2: Learning edit

4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)

You can recall these learning questions below: What are the main challenges for the individual contributors in the Kazakh speaking community? What are the proposals to overcome identified challenges? How can we collectively solve raised conflicts in the community and prevent them? What are the priorities within the community in terms of Movement Strategy recommendations? How can they get involved in the Movement Strategy initiatives implementation in the community and the Central Asia region?

We have discovered that we need to organize more meetups for our community, both conferences, as well as small gatherings. The major technical issues such as Kazakh language converter causing visual issues on the interface were discussed (and as a result this problem was solved after few months, before it used to be postponed several times and was lasting for several years). There were proposals to finalize the significance criteria for the articles in kkwiki, to synchronize the WP rules with the ones in enwiki, collaborations with the academic institutions, particularly with libraries, dividing tasks between admins, making all the templates consistent within the site. As a result of these brainstorings participants started to be more active both on Wikipedia as well as in the Telegram-chat discussions (we have a special group with ±150 members). There are plans about collaborating with the neighboring communities in Central Asia (Uzbek, Kyrgyz and Tajik communities) - we are always in contact with all the active members of these communities. All of these factors make us believe that we are heading to the future of our community in compliance with the Movement Strategy

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

There weren't major issues except for the minor organizational moments, such as the types of stationery items being different from what we had expected. On the good note, we can say that the venue turned out to be better than we expected.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

We share all the important information in our Telegram group (https://t.me/kkwiki_chat). It is our main point of contact with each other - all the urgent issues are solved via this chat
