1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Federal Medical Centres, University Teaching Hospitals, Psychiatric hospitals, Rehabilitation hospitals, Children hospitals, Community hospitals, Clinics and other specialized hospitals and health centers in Nigeria, some of which are Federal government of Nigeria owned hospitals and controlled by the Federal Ministry of Health. We have so many of these hospitals in Nigeria, but items about them are not or not well presented on wikidata. We seek to create these items on the wikidata.

This proiect will focus on the creation of items on all Federal Medical Centres, Specialized hospitals and Health centers in Nigeria using wikidata. This project is very important to the Nigerian community because 75% of the wikidata items about this content is missing on wikidata and this project will seek to solve the problem giving the ongoing crisis in the world today, one of which the hospitals are major players. It is important now more than ever to improve the amount of hospitals wikidata knows about and as such, this project is mainly targeted at improving the number of hospitals in wikidata database particularly hospitals in Nigeria.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

The basic approach is to use this project to create activities for participants with virtual training and in-person training to increase wikidata items. This project is an opportunity to contribute to information on new items (Hospitals in Nigeria), and other important information about the hospitals on Wikidata. This project will help; > increase the awareness of Wikimedia projects > to introduce the basis knowledge of Wikimedia projects to participants > to increase the number of contributors to Wikimedia projects > to increase the number of Hospitals on wikidata with necessary items. The contest will help to establish a long term relation with participants and we will train new participants on how to contribute to Wikimedia projects, with focus on; creating Wikipedia account, understand the core content policies, the wiki median friendly space policy and understand general editing principles, also improving information on Hospitals on wikidata.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

Wikidata is always relative easy to contribute and very important aswell. So we will engage the participants with the contest to contribute to Wikidata, and 2 in-person trainings.

4. Are your activities part of a Wikimedia movement campaign or event? If so, please select the relevant campaign below. If so, please select all the relevant campaigns from the list below. If "other", please state which.
