We went to two different locations to train queer persons on contributing to Wikimedia projects in partnership with Bisi Alimi Foundation.

The first training was held in Lagos while the other was held at Calabar, Cross River state.

2. Were there any strategies or approaches that you felt were effective in achieving your goals? Please describe these strategies and approaches.

Partnering with Bisi Alimi Foundation made it all easy and productive as they provided safety for all queer participants.

I learned that with proper follow-up; you an support underrepresented topics/communities and people should be given the chance to tell their stories their own way.

7. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities?This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences?

More participants prefer physical events to online events and are willing to contribute. I learned to always make the event hybrid for maximum participation.

8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?

I hope to continue to build a community of strong resilient queer wiki community in Nigeria
