1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photographic contest. This is the 3nd edition in Bénin. Those medias are going to be used on Wikipedia and any other places with attribution.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Promotional Awareness: I will carry out a local promotional awareness that involves promoting the project and the previous editions to professional and amateur photographers as well as to young people (students)to create awareness. Based on my previous experience, this method was effective, and I plan to use similar approach.

2. Trainings / Editathons: I will carry out series of trainings and editathons on how to make good picures and how to upload them on Commons.
3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

The focus will be the contest for media uploads ( pictures) on the topic of folklore culture in Benin in the following disciplines : dance , traditional food and cuisine, religion , clothing , music , games , seasonal events , calendar customs , the list is not exclusive , this will have as an objective to protect Benin intangible cultural heritage.

Learning, Sharing, and Evaluation edit

15. What do you hope to learn from your work in this fund proposal?

Last year we reached our goals and since then we have been conducting an active campaign while involving areas where we never conducted activities in the past. So, this campaign will allow us to see the involvement of these areas. It will also allow us to learn about the cultural diversity of these parts of Benin and also to enrich the articles that will be created during this period. Apart from that it will give us the opportunity to measure the involvement of the people we have trained in these areas. So we hope to learn how involved they are and how we can help them excel in the future. This activity is a springboard for all of us for the next times.

16. Based on these learning questions, what is the information or data you need to collect to answer these questions? Please register this information (as metric description) in the following spaces provided.
