Dans le cadre de notre subvention, nous avons réalisé 3 randonnées photos dans 3 sites d'aires protégées au Togo, une initiation des participants sur l'intérêt du concours, le projet wikimedia et l'illustration d'articles sur Wikipedia et wikispecies.

Une approche participative axée sur les jeunes actifs dans la communauté et les volontaires disponibles a été utilisée pour sélectionner les participants à l'expédition photo. La session de formation et de soumission des photos a pris en compte tous les contributeurs, qu'ils aient ou non participé à l'expédition photo.

6. In your application, you outlined your learning priorities. What did you learn about these areas during this period?
Nous avons beaucoup appris de ce concours. L'un des points positifs est l'accueil de la toute première édition du concours au Togo et l'enthousiasme suscité par le photowalk prévu pour cette activité. Le deuxième défis est de savoir comment juger les photos des participants. Quel peut être le profil du juge ? Comment pouvons-nous faire de notre mieux pour rendre le concours le plus inclusif possible ?

1.Ce qui a surpris toute la team, c'est que nous ayons largement dépassé le nombre d'images que nous nous sommes fixées pour le compte de ce concours. Ceci est un bilan très positif
- 2. Concernant la qualité des photos, nous nous sommes rendus compte que les participants manquaient un peu d'expérience en matière de photographie de la nature et de la biodiversité.
Le plus grand défis que nous avons eu c'était la difficulté ressentie lors de l'illustration des articles. Certains contributeurs n'avaient pas d'ordinateurs. Ceci a rendu l'activité et l'atteinte des objectifs un peu difficile.
- 3. Les images des mammifères sont quasi inexistantes dans les photos prises. Ceci s'explique par le fait que les heures de sortie de ces animaux n'ont pas coincidé avec l'heure de passage de l'équipe de photographie.
8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?
1. Pour améliorer la qualité des images pour la session de 2023, nous pensons organiser une séance de formation de prise de photos à l'endroit des participants ceci avec l'aide photographes professionnels.
- 2. Pour les prochaines éditions, nous pensons qu'il serait intéressant d'acquérir des ordinateurs pour les sessions d'illustration article ou de travailler de concert avec des labs ou espaces de coworking qui disposent déjà d'ordinateurs.Un autre point sur lequel on aimerait avancer en 2023, c'est de faire en sorte que le concours touche davantage d'étudiants des universités du pays. Ceci permettra d'obtenir des images diversifiées provenant des 4 coins du pays. Au delà de ça, on mettra en place pour les prochaines échéances un prix pour encourager le meilleur illustrateur et créateur d'articles en utilisant les images du concours dans les projets connexes de wikimedia à savoir Wikipedia, wikispecies, wikivoyages et autre...etc
- 3.Pour avoir davantage d'images de la faune sauvage, nous pensons acquérir des outils tels que les pièges photos afin de pouvoir les installer dans les forêts pour la prise automatique d'images d'animaux surtout les reptiles et les mammifères.

Nous avons organisé un webinaire à l'endroit de toute la communauté pour parler des diverses campagnes auxquelles la communauté des wikipédiens du Togo notamment Wiki Loves Africa, WLE2022 et Wiki héritages. Nous avons discuté des résultats de ces concours et des voies et moyens pour engager davantage de participants pour les saisons prochaines.
