1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

To achieve social and cultural changes in Japanese local cities, we have three points: digital archives, regional revitalization, and education of old media (photos, video film, cassette tape, etc.). thinking about. From the viewpoint of old media digital archives, digitizing old media, which records the history of the city, makes it possible to be able to be played permanently. From the perspective of regional revitalization, it is possible to discover the attractiveness of the region by conducting local surveys and literature surveys in regions (including cultural properties). From the viewpoint of education, we are considering that by experiencing literature surveys, we will be able to collect materials, select information, and cellflow to information itself.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Here are three changes. In the digital archive of old media (photos, video films, cassette tapes, etc.), research using these may proceed by digitizing even forgetful materials. In addition, from the viewpoint of regional revitalization, there is a possibility that new information buried in your own residence and hometown in Japanese society, which is being lost in the region itself, is being lost. Finally, from the viewpoint of education, we believe that we will be able to evaluate our credibility and produce new information by our own hands.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

In Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, a wide variety of histories, culture, and people will be held in collaboration with GLAM and the government, including Wikipedia Wikidata Wikimedia Commons. Editerson aims to continue to be a continuous activity by training citizens living in Kaga and its surroundings as new Wikimedians. In order to train Wikimedian more effectively, this project will continue to hold a lecture and editing gathering for about three months. Click here for the schedule. As a result, we aim to take root in the community to record local history and culture and send it out to the outside even after the business ends. In addition, we aim to create new information value through digitalization of analog information (images and images) in Kaga city. In 2024, the Kanazawa-Tsuruga section of the Hokuriku Shinkansen will be opened, and the Shinkansen will stop in Kaga City. For this reason, we also want to enliven tourist demand and form a soil that local citizens can talk about the city. For that reason, we believe that sending information on Wikipedia and Wikivoyage is worthwhile. In particular, there is no Kaga City page in the Japanese version of Wikivoyage, so I would like to disseminate information while working with English version. In this subsidy, a video workshop joint company that collects local materials and archives in Kaga City will apply and work. In addition, we asked for the cooperation of Editerson's planning support and Wikimedian's coordinators, such as Araisyohei and Nakamata Hoshi (Kagawa Junior College), and were consent. From the above, we want to increase the awareness by providing a place to touch the Wikimedia project itself, and we want to promote this in the future.

4. Are your activities part of a Wikimedia movement campaign or event? If so, please select the relevant campaign below. If so, please select all the relevant campaigns from the list below. If "other", please state which.

Not applicable

5. Do you have the team that is needed to implement this proposal?

Yes. First of all, the video workshop joint company, which planned and operates this business, has archived the history and culture of the region for the past five years in Kaga City as an activity base. The company has a wealth of track record of operating workshops and screenings using archived materials. Next, for those who are invited as lecturers, we have a track record of planning and implementing various Wikipedia Town so far, and we are asking for coordination of the implementation program in this project. With this team structure, we have a track record of holding Wikipedia Town in Kaga City in November 2022. [1]

10. In what ways are you actively seeking to contribute towards creating a safer, supportive, more equitable environment for participants?

Yes. We will try to match the Universal Conducted Wikimedia Foundation. Regardless of the position, such as the participants and the operating staff, we aim to understand this standard and build a community that is easier for more people to live.

Use this space to describe the processes you carried out to make the community more involved in planning this proposal. Please link the on-wiki community discussion(s) around the proposals.

Yes

In addition, there is a possibility that participants will be recruited from citizens' groups related to local gravel culture, and the cooperation of materials and interviews may be obtained. We would like to plan and operate all organizations and organizations to be involved in this project, so that they can feel the fun of town development.
