In Summary, the carried-out awareness led to heightened community involvement, improved content within the Kanuri Wikimedia Incubator, and the recognition of potential contributors via a focused awareness drive. The achievements emphasize the significance of tailored strategies and community-centric methods. The continual endeavors will center on maintaining engagement and tackling particular challenges to continually improve Kanuri content across all Wikimedia platforms. Some of the approaches deployed by the project team was the:

1. Targeted Community Engagements:

Engaging the Kanuri community through tailored initiatives proved effective in garnering interest and active participation. This was possible as a result of elites involvement of the Students Union Government (SUG) in both tertiary institutions in borno state namely: A. Borno State University B. Ramat Polytechnic respectively, as seen in the pictures links provided. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Kanuri_wikimedia_awareness_09.jpg

Part 2: Learning edit

4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)

You can recall these learning questions below: 1. We Will learn more about the language and culture of the kanuri people which does not exist in Wikipedia.

2. We will share more knowledge to other participants about Wikipedia and its sister project.
3. We hope to also learn how editors and Wikipedia users manage the information found in Wikipedia as their own advantage for educational usage.

We learned that a lot of spoken languages especially in the north eastern parts of Nigeria are unaware they can contribute to Wikipedia in their languages, for such more awareness program should be carried out in such places so that other people across the globe can learn from those languages not documented.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

Yes, most of the Kanuri speakers were surprised to see their language is inclusive in the wikipedia platform, for such they were happy and willing to advance it at all levels.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

We plan to share it with other upcoming communities who are also on the verge of getting their own sites, so that they can imitate and achieve the target goals as we achieved

Part 3: Metrics edit

7. Wikimedia Metrics results. (required)

In your application, you set some Wikimedia targets in numbers (Wikimedia metrics). In this section, you will describe the achieved results and provide links to the tools used.

Target Results Comments and tools used
Number of participants 50 60 As we stated we targeted 50 but the presence of students union government in both campuses leads to a slight increase in number due to their anxiety to contribute to Wikipedia using their own language
Number of editors 50 24
Number of organizers 5 5 The team was anxious because of how the Kanuri's were eager to contribute to Wikipedia with constant questions across all created social media handles.
