WikiConference North America is the annual conference of North American Wikimedians. This page list past grant application for that events, partly to enable comparison and learning from the past. Please update it by hand.
Grant applications from recent years are subpages of this one:
- /WikiConference North America 2024 -- anticipated in Indianapolis
- /WikiConference North America 2023 -- Toronto
Grant applications before that are at a slightly different path here on meta:
- Grants:Conference/WCNA/WikiConference North America 2022 -- online only
- Grants:Conference/WCNA/WikiConference North America 2021 -- online only
- Grants:Conference/WCNA/WikiConference North America 2020 -- didn't happen as planned because of covid, and we held an online-only one late that year
- 2019 - "No Wikimedia Foundation or movement funding was used in the production of the event," according to WikiConference North America/2019. There'd been a draft grant submission, here: Grants:Conference/bluerasberry/WikiConference_North_America_2019. In the end the conference got funding from the Credibility Coalition and others, and was held at MIT, and it went well.
- Grants:Conference/WCNA/WikiConference North America 2018 -- Columbus, OH
- 2017 -- Didn't receive WMF funding, according to this list: Grants:Conference/Browse_applications/en#Funded_proposals_2017-2018 -- However we had one -- it was held on one day in Montreal just before the larger Wikimania conference.
