editTo reach out to wide cross section of society about Wikipedia and get more participation from people from all walks of life into the movement and publicize Wikipedia as a movement and bring more awareness.

Fit to strategy
editThis project will give benefit to Urdu speaking Wikipedians who will be able to write articles in Urdu. Hence it will increase the no. of articles in urdu, primarily benefiting the quality of our project.
Other benefits
editI believe that this short celebration of wikipedia's anniversary would add a great value and motivation among wikipedians and new comers to contribute into wikipedia.

editThis event would have media coverage all over the country which includes in form of tv news headline as well as popularity of Urdu Wikipedia locally.
